Business Development Officer

The company is looking for a proactive and motivated Business Development Officer keen to pursue a career in a multinational organisation. The person will report to the Business Development Manager of the company and will be a part of a team responsible for the business and network development.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing and updating the Business Development Plan;
  • Analyse specific target areas and identify potential plots or existing retail units (petrol stations) targets for development of our retail network;
  • Co-operate closely with Technical, Commercial and Legal teams to gather, analyse, evaluate and combine all relevant and required information to provide decision support for the evaluation of potential targets and target areas;
  • Participate in the preparation of investment proposals, analysis and/or other supporting information;
  • Ensure the legality of the acquisition/rental process by evaluating licenses, deed titles and other documentation;
  • Participate in negotiations for purchasing/renting plots (greenfield) and existing retail units (brownfield);
  • Participate in the process of obtaining permits for designing and construction, reconstruction and investment, adaptation and rehabilitation of all facilities in Bulgaria (obtaining location and building permits, including all the preparatory activities);


Profile requirements:

  • Excellent level of written and spoken English and Bulgarian;
  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering or Law;
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in Business Development, Real Estate, Retail Network Development (experience in retail fuel industry would be considered an advantage);
  • Knowledge of property law and zoning legislation;
  • Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office; Microsoft Excel; AutoCAD; Microsoft Project; Microsoft Power Point; Excellent level of Microsoft Excel and Power Point is a must;
  • Ability to push through multiple projects, deliver on time, hands on and focused, lead projects;
  • Knowledge of key economic indicators and/or preparation of investment proposals (experience in controlling or retail reporting would be considered an advantage);
  • Knowledge and experience with the real estate and fuel market in Bulgaria would be considered an advantage;
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Honest, respectful and trustworthy;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Driving license - as job will require travelling throughout the country.
